The Legendary Debate: Love vs Money (Blaise Allaine V. version)

The best use of life is love. Thus, if I were to choose which is more important between money and love,it would be love.

Life is all about relationships. Everyday, we interact with our family at home or our friends and colleagues outside. This just mean that we need the attention of others as much as they need ours.

People would say that we need to be practical and so money is more important than love. But money is just temporary while love is eternal. Money may let us have the capacity to buy a lot of things but these things cannot give us the love we need. And yet, others would tell us that money can also buy love. I don't believe in this because love is not conditional. You have to love someone without asking for something in return. So, if money has made someone turn to you, it's not love but rather gratitude or paying back. In the long-run, money and wealth will just run out. But love, it always spring in our hearts and does not get any lesser even when you give or share it to others.

One thing also that we must be reminded about is the uncertainty of our death. On our last day, when we will just be lying in our final moments, it is not our money, jewelry, or any material possessions we want to be with but rather the presence, care and the love of the people we value and cherish the most. For it is the attention and the time people give us that we feel loved and cared. Although wealth and material possessions can grant us temporary delight, it cannot be compared to the happiness we feel when we are loved by the people we also love.

Sicilian Scheveningen - At First Glance

A variation from the World's finest openings the Sicilian Defense is the Sicilian Scheveningen which is characterized by hitting the tempo and solid mid way defense of Bd7 and Be7 for black. Recently I frequently explore the possibilities of this game and quite amazed of the solidity for black and the tactical aggression of white. Black must play in the queen side while white must bombard attacks at the king side.

Few steps to complete of what I think is a good play of Scheveningen are 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 e6 3. Nc3 Nf6 4.d4 cxd4 5. Nxd4 Be7 6. Be2 Nc6 7. Be3 Bd7 8. 0-0 a6. This is basically my way to play this game and the rest of up to the player. While I'm still at the stage of learning the basic of chess, this opening makes me comfortable playing with my chess friends and even in the recent competition that I participated. Although we are at a level of chess "amateurs", this makes the game more exciting.

Today whenever I come across a chess board this opening is my top priority. I keep on this setting to search for its greatest strength and win. I know this theme isn't the best for everybody but at least I think I can win some chess if this happens. "Drawish" lines for black is also possible that's why this is my favorite against better players including tournaments.

I wish to gather more ideas from everyone who read this post. If you are better in scheveningen, please comment your variation for my additional data for this opening.

Our Little Angel At Home

In The Beginning...

Is that you Kuya Kim?:)

Innocent mode na pud ang ako pag-umangkon. It runs into our blood. ;)

Well, an irresistible smile after breakfast under the bright sunshine.

After all this Baby boy was named Jon Earl Bernard "dOy" Villapaz Jumalon. A God's gift for my Detsi and her husband Tan2x. Bares his innocent smile, intelligent look and infinite charisma as natural as he is. hehe. He is very precious. Obviously I'm gonna miss this little guy here if ever our paths tend to stretch apart each other. But as the saying goes, "we don't have to worry, because we were still seeing the same sky anywhere". I'm still gonna be he's Handsome Tito forever. hahahaha. And it turns out that this is my blog. The End.
