BreastFeeding Month

While watching the Television last week I found out that the month of August is a breastfeeding month. A certain talk show has a topic about breastfeeding so I listen to the discussion. Since most of mothers nowadays were not bound on breastfeeding their babies, they basically talk about the benefits of breastfeeding. They put a great emphasis of the positive effects of breastfeeding towards the infants and the mother as well. That's why mothers should practice breastfeeding for their babies. Anyway here are the list of the benefits.

Breast milk is obviously had a good nutrition benefits compare to bottled milk. It is best up to 6 months of age. These essential nutrient helps the baby grow and easy to digest or absorb.

Provides immunity and protection to illnesses - Breastfeeding protects your baby from gastrointestinal trouble, respiratory problems, ear infections and allergies.

May boost your child's intelligence - E=mc² tsk tsk tsk

For the mother to provide natural contraceptive - that helps in child spacing allowing the mother's body to "recover" from the demands of pregnancy. It therefore, helps in ensuring the good nutritional and health status of the mother.

Lowers risk of breast and ovarian cancer to the mother.

Help establish and strengthen emotional bonds between the mother and the baby.

Helps the mother to lose weight
-Nursing your baby can help you shed pounds more quickly, especially during the first year. This is because your body burns calories while it makes breast milk.

It may protect you from Osteoporosis later in life.

That's why breastfeeding was highly recommended.
